Usage changes when players find better partners, adapt to common threats, copy successful tournament teams, or abandon picks that no longer answer the field.

Rising does not always mean better

A Pokemon can rise because it is easy to use, highly visible, or part of a popular archetype. Always ask what evidence supports the movement.

Falling can mean solved

Pokemon often fall when opponents prepare more directly for them. That does not mean the Pokemon is unusable. It means you need a clearer reason to bring it.
